I have had the priveledge of knowing Butch for 20 years... I remember when I was a college intern at the Wellness Center, he was one of the first members I got to know. What an inspiration he was... no matter the obstacles that life might have placed in Butch's past... he never let them stop him. Frank and I have fond memories of time spent with Butch over the years when he would visit in Houston. He was such a great converstionist, and always a fun person, ready for holiday parties!

I knew Butch from shopping at Hy-Vee (Minn Ave.). He came in every friday to have breakfast and do shopping. I took himto the kitchen every friday and got Butch his breakfast that was; V-8, tea, water, oatmeal and toast. Butch will be missed greatly by his Hy-vee friends. Thoughts and prayers go out to his famaily.

I have missed seeing Butch in the halls at the Wellness Center as we passed each other on our way to our workouts. He was always so cheerfull and a bright start to my early mornings. He will be missed and always in our hearts. We were blessed for being a very small part of his day.

As a long time member of the Sanford Wellness Center, I knew who Butch was, but unfortunately I never knew him personally. But he was an inspiration to me......when I would come to the center early in the morning, I would often see him walking diligently around the track, many times in the company of a staff person.
