My condolences to his family. Millard Grimes was an excellent journalist, and an even better man. I'm glad I got a chance to work for him at the O-A News and the Rockdale Citizen.

Rest in peace. I worked for the Auburn Bulletin and Paul Davis while Mr. Grimes was at the O-A News. Local journalism was star studded. My mentor Jack Simms was also still active locally at that time associ ated with the University along with Professor Mickey Logue. East Alabama was truly blessed with people working to keep us all informed.
