Not sure what to say?

Three years ago at the Nampa rodeo I was fortunate enough to win the first go-round in the steer wrestling. As I walked back to the chutes, a grinning silver-haired man called me over to the fence and asked if I knew who he was. Of course I had heard of Millard because he was close with Grandpa Whitaker, but I didn't remember ever meeting him. Millard took me out to supper that evening, and from that time on I counted him as a close friend. I always stayed at Millard and Shirley's house...

Doc was a personality like no other. He lived such a full life and always made everyone feel special. He was truly an inspiration to all and it was our honor and pleasure to know him. We will fondly remember our "mountain rides" and other get togethers. We remember asking Doc why he had a rope on a trail ride; his comment was "might need to rope something!"
Our condolences to your family; he will truly be missed, but we are all blessed to have known him, and know that he is at peace.

So many years of knowing the man that was my mom's big brother-that flew planes and had a certain kindness--even though we did not see much of him when his family was growing up, we still knew that he was a good man--I enjoyed his stays in Pierre and visits with him, he has been good to me and I am going to miss him. May his memory's live on through his family and friends.

Dear Shirley and family-I am so sorry to hear about "MW"-he was truly very special and I have many great memories of him-please know that you are in my thoughts-

Ray and I have truly enjoyed Doc and Shirley. We always brag about them and called them our honey mooners!
Doc made everyone feel special and that is what made him special. I was in the Veterinary business for 21 yr.s and I always boosted to my "Vet friends" that "MWI" was my team roping partner! He will be very much missed. Our hearts go out to the WHOLE family. Yours truly, Mary and Ray Nebergall
