Not sure what to say?

I just found out Millard passed. Great guy and great family, Mary Lou being my first cousin. So many reunions. Glad he and she and cousins Debbie and Leslie came to our place in Manzanita a few years ago for lunch. Tom

my condolences to the greatest ever great great uncle. Paula McClung

I first saw Millard down at the MAC about 50 years ago. He would come into the weight room after a run with Joe Loprinzi or one of his running buddies. My wife always said to me that Millard was such a classy gentleman. I never heard him say and unkind word about anyone. I will always remember him.

It was with great sorrow I heard of Millard McClung's passing. I have very fond memories of staying with him, his wife Mary-Lou and his daughter Leslie on SW Mt Adams Drive in Portland. I recall very vividly when I was there all those years ago Millard taking me to the Multnomah Athletic Club from where we went running in the hills together and he told me about his military career while we were out running, about his time in Korea and also his very striking opinion of Richard Nixon who it was...

A prince of a man, dapper dresser, gentleman and scholar. I can't think of a time when I didn't know him--he was such an important figure in our young lives. Millard was kindness personified. How we loved it when he would come to our home and sit in the kitchen with dad-and we could hear peals of laughter from both of them. I can still hear Millard chuckling and saying " Oh gosh" and "Oh my heavens". He was a friend to the end to both our parents and the best work partner our dad...

I am so saddened to hear this news. Always a smile on his face, made you feel like you were the only person in a crowded room and genuinely interested in your life. I am so sorry I can not be at the service but promise to reach out to Doug and Leslie.

I met Millard when I was a young high school kid working out at the MAC. He took me under his wing and taught me how to properly lift weights to maximize development and avoid injuries. He and I remained workout friends for decades at the club. Millard was always upbeat and encouraging and his advice was readily welcomed. He was a very special friend that I will never forget . I will always be thankful that I knew him as I did and could call him my friend. At ease Marine - you earned your...

I am sorry for your loss. My father and Millard were close friends. My father always spoke of the workouts at The MAC club they shared together, and the wonderful lunches they ate together at Jakes over the years. My father cherished their friendship.
