Not sure what to say?

I opened up my Oberlin Alumni Magazine today and learned with great sorrow that Missy died last September. Missy and I were roommates during my last 2 years at Oberlin and she was one of my bridesmaids. She was such a fun roommate and was into decorating even then. One year she got a saw from the local hardware store so we could convert our metal cots to a daybed look. We started on mine and quickly learned this was not a good idea. We ended up stuffing a rolled up Time magazine in the...

Finally at rest. God speed.
Give Gwen, Leo, Barney, Hassett and all of your friends a good hug for me.

May God bless you Missy. You were a fantastic sister and a unique individual. I'll never forget the great times at 903, Honeoye, 707, and elsewhere. I could not have asked for a better sister. All is well and I'll always have you in my heart.

Missy told me before she died that she'd written her own obit (with a little help, of course) and I think it captured her perfectly: unflinchingly honest, a little whimsical, and full of life. She'll be missed!

"Missy Bonansinga" as I knew her at First National Bank back in the 70's was a kind spirit, full of life, and always wore a smile. Many days we'd have lunch together in the cafeteria at the bank. I will always remember "Missy" as a wonderful and kind person.
Sincere sympathy to all who knew her.

I will never forget the many kindnesses that Missy extended to me during my times of need.

The photo in today's announcement about Missy shows she hasn't changed a bit since I first met her in 1971. I have a photo of 4 young law school grads, their parents, in-laws and spouses or significant others and Missy just glows in that photo. We stayed in touch in Springfield for a few years and then I lost her. She was so creative and energetic-each house or apt. she decorated had so much style, ingenuity, and creativity. She could take anything and really make it into something. ...

Missy was one of the most intelligent people I ever knew and blessed with a golden heart.

Missy, there is a special place for you in Dog Heaven. I like to think of you surrounded by all the pets you have loved and nurtured, including mine. Every time I go by the dogwood tree in Washington Park that Kibber Miller planted in your honor, I will think of you, my current dogs, Ethan the Standard Poodle and Izzie the Snickerdoodle by my side. The world is a sadder and less interesting place without you, but we will remember you fondly.

Love,

Linda Lenzini, Jim Kaufmann,...
