Not sure what to say?

Although it has been many years since we were no longer together .... to this day I respect Milo as as a Father to our daughters, not born of DNA, but of love. Though we had our problems, there was never a time when we, as a couple, did not love our collective children. I miss him, and as we grew older and matured, learned that we created a loving, devoted, family that not time or distance...or even death can change. I love them all and will keep loving them until the day I no longer walk...

I was very saddened to learn of Milo's passing. I worked with Milo as a young Officer before he retired. All the young Officers at the time wanted to emulate Milo Gavin or "Mr. Gavin" as he was known to on the street. Milo was a stand up guy and respected by all criminals included. I learned a great deal in a short time from Milo. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.
Sgt. Lee Bond (retired) PPD

it was heartbreaking newa to hear of milos passing.it was always a pleasure and much fun to talk to milo at bobs bbq!!he will be missed by everyone

to the family of milo gavin, i send my regrets for the loss of milo. he was one of portsmouth's finest and i mean that. i worked with him from time to time when i worked homicide. he was one that when things got hairy, you want him on your side. For a little guy, he knew of no fear and could run like a deer. He will be one remembered for a long time, a real cop that this department should be grateful for his service.Again, my sincere condolences to his family. Jimmy Roberts, (Retired)...

To The Gavin Family, I was saddened by the news of Milo. I was fortunate to have known him. He was a police friend, always there to help. Wilbur, Kenny, Robert you have worn the uniform and are a part of the police family. Milo was a good cop and wore his badge with honor. My thoughts and love go to your family. You have many stories and laughter to share with your love ones for generations.
Kathy Roberts (retired pd) North Carolina

Prayers and Godspeed to all of you. Milo helped me a lot as a young prosecutor. I enjoyed his dry wit.

My sincere sympathy goes to Milo's family. Milo and I worked together for many years in Patrol and the Narcotics Squad of the Portsmouth Police Dept. He was a great friend and co-worker.He will be missed by all that knew him.
Sgt. Wayne Gainous (Retired)

It is with a sad heart that I remember Milo here, in this forum. He was, as we say on the job, "a cop's cop." He had your back and there are very few that can say Milo was not the man to have around when the going got tough. He was as respected by his peers as he was feared by the criminals. He taught me so much in the short time I got to work around him when I was just a rookie cop. RIP Milo. BJKIII, PPD (ret)

I am saddened to learn of Milo's passing. My late husband, Butch Gibson, served with him in the late 60's on the Portsmouth Police Dept. He was one of the "Parkview" kids.
I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to his family from my family.
