Funeral services for Milo C. Oster, 68, of Mobridge, SD, will be at 11:00 am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the United Congregational Church (UCC) in Mobridge, SD with Faye Jackman officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Black Hills National Cemetery. Milo passed away Oct. 16, 2012 at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Ft. Meade, SD. www.stoutfamilyfh.com Milo C. Oster, 68, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at the Ft. Meade Veterans Health Center, Ft. Meade, SD. Milo Charles Oster was born July 30, 1944, to Charles and Katie (Weiszhaar) Oster in Mobridge, SD. He attended Glenham and Mobridge Public Schools, graduating from Mobridge High School in 1962. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963 to 1965, being stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado. After his return from the service, he attended the Reich American Auctioneering School in Mason City, Iowa. During all of his working years and until he became ill, he worked for the Mobridge Livestock Auction. He had been undergoing treatment for cancer, and handled his illness with a courageous spirit. Surviving are two brothers, Orville Oster, Hot Springs, SD, and Otto (Ione) Oster, Mobridge, SD; two sisters, Bernie Lambert and Joyce Oster, both of Rapid City, SD; two nephews, David (Ronda) Oster, Summerset, SD, and Taylor Oster, Aberdeen, SD along with nine great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
