Dear Mary,
I send you my sincere condolences on the loss of your husband. I am sure that your good memories of the almost 60 years together will be a big help in your future.

I am living in New York City near my daughter and won't be able to attend the Memorial, but I heard about it by e-mail.

I want you to know that I always cherished the beautiful grounds on the MSU campus and never forgot Milton's role in making it so specially attractive and enjoyable.

Although I did not know your father, my husband and my father both knew him at MSU, and I graduated with you from Haslett in 1974. My husband Gerry held your father in the highest esteem. Gerry got his doctorate in Botany from MSU and was the curator of Beal Botanic Garden and on the Botany faculty when I met him in 1988. We have your father's 'Sugar Tyme' Crabapple tree planted at our home on The Morton Arboretum's property in Illinois--and it is beautiful. Gerry...

Dear Mary, Richard and Amy,

I read Milt's obit this morning in the State Journal (on-line since I now live in Connecticut) and wanted you all to know how proud Barney was of the work Milt did on the property in Holt where he ((and sometimes I) lived. Barney never failed to tell people that 'Milt Baron did this and isn't it gorgeous'

Very few people live as long and worthwhile life. I hope that for all of you his memories will sustain you through this terrible...
