Not sure what to say?

Dr. Bernard was a wonderful man who allowed me to work for him in his surgical practice and other substantial endeavors. Those endeavors helped the dental & optical plans for all DC residents & participating employees. He was a man with a big heart, beautiful family, superb ethics, and exceptional sense of humor. I regret not spending more time with him, but unlike many clients, he brought me into his home (over the objection of his lively, and brilliant wife, from whom he protected me). I...

May God grant you eternal peace, in the name of Jesus.

Dr. Bernard came highly recommended by my late mother, Inez M. Keith Carolina, a retired surgical nurse, and our family friend, the late Dr. Albert Stanley Bacon. I was attending Howard Graduate School and my wisdom teeth needed to be removed. Both mother and Albert insisted that Dr. Bernard was one of the few who possessed the knowledge and strength for the job. I had the surgery in his office on Eastern Avenue in Silver Spring and received excellent care during and after. Dr. Bernard was...

I was very sorry to hear of Dr. Bernard`s passing. He was one of my instructors years ago at the Washington Hospital Center during oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. Dr. Bernard was one of the most well liked attending oral surgeons amongst the residents in training. He was kind to the residents, and always teaching us when present. He was a fine oral surgeon and human being. Dr. Bernard encouraged the residents to proceed "lightly and politely" with surgery. This was exceptional and...

Milton was my classmate at Howard Dental. We sat next to each other, by alphabetical order. I respected him and liked him. He will be sorely and acutely missed!

Milton was one of a kind. He will always be remembered. Please accept our deepest sympathy as you go through this period. Our prayer is that the Good Lord will give you the strength and courage to move forward comforted by his life of caring, service and friendship. May the life he lived provide the foundation on which you find peace and comfort in this time of loss.

We are so sorry for your loss and wish the entire family our sympathy at this time. May God bless you all and keep you in his loving arms as you go through these tough times. We wish you peace and love.

Words can´t capture the treasured memories I have from my childhood of Dr. Bernard. It was heartwarming and encouraging to hear my dad and Dr. Bernard, joined by close friends laughing and engaging in lively discussions during social gatherings. Dr. Bernard and my dad are among the titans of excellence as patriarchs and professional colleagues. They were exceptional. Incomparable. Indomitable. For me, I felt like I could be great because I was surrounded by greatness! In profound sadness, my...
