Milton D., 89, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, June, 2, 2012.
He was a retired aircraft mechanic from Fort Knox and a former custodian at St. Brigid Catholic Church.
Milton was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam O'Toole Holmes.
He is survived by his son, David L. Holmes; brothers-in-law, Thomas O'Toole (Margo), David O'Toole (Judy) and Martin O'Toole (Nancy) and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial at 10:00 a.m.Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands.
The family would like to thank Milton's friends from Steak 'N Shake on Bardstown Rd. for their kindness and friendship.
I was Mr. Holmes' neighbor two doors down and I'm sorry to say I only met him recently through his neice, Kathy Bragg. He was a very kind and cordial man. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family,
