MILTON KAMEN

I loved Milton. I was so close to him, growing up in Riverdale. I think about him so often, Brilliant mind and wonderful man. He was like a father to me. His son, Michael, was my boyfriend and very close friend for many, many years. Love for them both, love never fades.

Loved Milton. He was the nicest, sweetest and one of the smartest men I have ever met. I had the good fortune of growing up in Milton's building in Riverdale. He always took the time to make me feel special. Milton tutored me patiently in both math and Spanish. I loved him and his wit and humor. I will miss this amazing and remarkable person who touch my life. Joni

I realized, when I saw the birth date of 100 years ago, that this item was placed for the comedian I admired so much. He died much too young, and my specific memories are few. One that stands out was a televised David Suskind roundtable with Jewish comedians. Kamen was there with Louis Nye, Mel Brooks, and Dan Greenberg. It was a side-splitting hour or so. Yes, he is missed...and remembered for sharp, acerbic delivery. I didn't know him, but I am sure those who did still miss him greatly.
