Not sure what to say?

The family of Milton Zucker would like to thank everyone for their kind words and memories of our father, grandfather and husband.

Mr. Zucker was a kind and understanding teacher. He was always reachable not only for his expertise, but for his humanity. He will be remembered by all who knew him.

Seventh grade at Maple Avenue was pretty tough. I hated math class. I tolerated language and social studies, but I enjoyed science class, thanks to Mr. Zucker. He was indeed an inspiration and an encourager. Teachers of his caliber are always missed.

My sincere sympathy to the Zucker family. Not only was I a student at Maple Ave school, but a neighbor on Goldsmith Avenue as well. He will be missed by all.

Milton was my colleague, vice-principal, and acting principal at maple ave school and maple-lyons annex. Those of us who worked with him and under him at maple-lyons will remember him fondly. It was like one big happy family with Milt as our leader and friend.

I am sorry for your loss. He was a truely nice person. After saving money on my Newark Star Ledger paper route Mr. Zucker directed me to a friend on Academy Street in downtown Newark who sold me my first 35mm camera. That was nearly fifty years ago.

Milt:
Marlene & I will always say you were the greatest. You know how much your friendship meant to both of us. Besides being my teacher you and your family were great friend. Our whole family will miss you.
Marlene & Barry Warner

my sincere sympathies on your loss. mr. zucker was one of the original leaders in educating girls who grew into women deeply touched by the sciences. had i not had the background his education provided, there is little question in my mind, my life would had progressed as it did. i'm sorry i never had the opportunity to thank him in life for the guidance he provided. he was, back in 1959 and 60 when i knew him, a class act, never to be repeated. he is missed already.

As a graduate of Maple Ave. School, I remember Mr. Zucker as a teacher who could make science interesting and understandable - not an easy task. I, too, am a teacher now - Middle School math - and I have new respect for those in the field who have made a difference. My deepest sympathy for your loss.
