Mimi Semmes Dann

Meryl and I were just unwrapping and displaying the beautiful bowl that I traded with Mimi all those years ago at the Memphis Arts Festival. I decided to Google her name and came across this sad news of her passing. She was a great lady and I know her family misses her every day. Our deepest condolences from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Mimi was a beacon of light, a great soul, and a dear friend. I miss her.

Mimi Dann was an incredibly special human being. It was her love for jazz that became instrumental in creating the Jazz Salon home concert series which continues to this day. Her warmth and vitality will be missed. It was an honor to know her!!!1
