Minas Vassos

Although I have not seen Mickey since the late 70's this past week I have been thinking of him alot. I had lost contact with him and wondered where he was. He gave us his mother's spinach pie recipe back in the 70' and I have making itever since. I have many fond memories of Mickey as several others in the Carbondale area have and I am saddened by his passing.

Minas was a sweet soul who loved His Lord and was willing to give of himself when called upon. Everyone here at St. Nicholas will have a reminder of him because of the beautful sign he made infront of the church. He also was such a help to me and my family during our first hurricane here. It had been many years since I've been in the company of my cousin Mickey because we lived such a distance apart. However even years later I can recall what a loving, giving & kind person he was.

Dear Irene, Isabella, Jesse and Jason. I was truly saddened to hear of the death of my cousin Micky. Although we didn't get to see each other often, I remember his quick wit and charm. May God comfort you and may Micky's memorial be eternal.
