Not sure what to say?

I am proud to have known Ming & Phung & their two daughters since the "China House" days on 29th & Willamette. I was speechless on hearing the loss of dear Ming on Easter. I am late finding out, but am no less devastated about the news. My heart goes out to his loving family who always worked so hard and in a spirit of unity of family. You could see the love between them as they welcomed their customers to their work home. Ming's quiet dignity & kindness was always apparent. He had a...

Dear Phung--our hearts go out to you at this sad time. Mere words cannot adequately express our sorrow. We will miss seeing Ming scurrying around the store, delivering plates heaped with wonderful food. We will see you soon.
Jacquie Ghormley, from the 'Thursday Group'.

Dear Phung: we were devastated to read of the accident and terrible loss to you and your family. We remember your husband's gentle, hardworking ways in harmony with your warm, outgoing nature and your two daughters who grew up in the family business. Ming's death is a grievous occasion for the entire community, and we are sorrier than we can say. Our thoughts are with you in this sad time.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss, to Ming's beloved wife. And also to his two daughters, who many of us watched grow up, over the years at Yi Shen. My heart goes out to all.

Loving thoughts and deepest sympathies to you Phung and your family. Ming's kindness and joy touched many. We are so sorry for your loss.

Phung, our thoughts are with you and your family. Ming was such a kind and special person. We are so sorry for your loss.

I met Ming 10 years ago, I was cooking it was late on a Saturday night. He walked up to the grill and just stood there quietly. After a few minutes I asked him what did he need, he replied "you want to try some noodles" and he's been supplying my noodles ever since. In these past ten years Ming always came in smiling, giving us suggestions helping with recipes, he even even would help fix things. Always a happy man, so willing to help, so hard working. I will miss that smile greatly. So...
