Minnie Pace Coutee

Services for Ms. Minnie Pace Coutee will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Gardner with Reverend Alton A. Achord, Reverend Michael McIntosh, Reverend Larry Taylor and Reverend Oliver Deen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Gardner, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.

The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until11:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Coutee, 79, of Boyce passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Matthews Memorial Health Care Center, we would like to thank all the nurses and aides who assisted in her are.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Gardner. During her working career she worked at the Pitt Grill, Ms. Ann's Coffee Shop and Spirits for the last 22 years. She loved all people, she never met a stranger and was loved by all that she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Pace, Bill Pace, Elbert Pace, Junior Pace, Ben Pace and Milton Pace; sister, Lettie Daniels and son-in-law, Bobby Warren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tommy Joe Coutee, Sr., Marc D'Wayne Coutee and wife, Hope, Gregory Scott Coutee, and wife, Angela; daughters, Janet Marie Warren, JoAnn Nugent and husband, Jerry, Evie Delaine Dyer and husband, Bobby and Patricia Renee' Foust and husband, Dan; brother, Nooker Pace; fourteen grandchildren, twelve step grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shane Wilson, Scott Tomlinson, Anthony Butler, Colby Froust, Corey Gillespie and T. J. Coutee. Honorary pallbearers will Lonnie McCormick, James Gillespie, Brian Bonnette, Chad Wilson, Jason Butler, and Alex Froust.

The family would like to thank Guardian Hospice Care for their wonderful care of Ms. Coutee. Brian Ussery worked so very diligently to take great care of their mother.

Miss Minnie was such a great lady to work with! I am so grateful that I had the pleasure to get to know her when I was living in Alexandria. I will never forget Miss Minnie! My heart goes out to her family during this time.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Minnie's passing. She was a wonderful fun loving lady. I had the privilege of taking her, my mother, my aunt and Mrs. Lavergne to singing at Mora one night I never laughed so. We had a blast. Have fond memories of playing Bunko with her also.
