Minnie Lee Josey was born July 20, 1942 in Anne Manie, Alabama to the late Zebbie D. and Cora L. Hudson. She transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 27, 2022.



At an early age Minnie moved to Aliquippa, PA and attended the Public Schools, graduating from Aliquippa High School. She married her childhood Sweetheart, Johnny Josey Sr. and this union was blessed with five children; three girls and two boys.



She worked for 15 years at the LaQuinta Inn Hotels before retiring. After her retirement she became a Foster Grandparent for Beaver County Head Start. Having accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age, Minnie was a faithful member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa. She served in the Missionaries and as a member of the Helping Hands Charity.



Family was everything to Minnie. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Josey Jr. and a grandson, Daniel Josey. Minnie leaves many fond memories for her husband of 63 years Johnny Josey Sr.; three daughters: Lashell, Teresa and Jada of Aliquippa, PA; one son, Phillip (Alma) Josey of Maryland; one sister Helen Hudson Rice, Maryland; one brother, Lovelace (Alice) Fisher Jr. Baden, PA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a
host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; devoted friends; Pauline Martin and Betty Patrick and special cousin; Dorothy Gilbert.
