CW Roberts Undertaking Obituary

Miranda Prince was the youngest of four children, born to the union of Levora and Benjamin Petty on June 2, 1959 in St. Louis, MO. She had an infectious smile and personality that continued to permeate throughout her life and engaged those she met.

She was a product of the St. Louis Public School System and attended Marshall and Lexington Elementary Schools. She flourished as a social butterfly often, never meeting a stranger. She continued her education at Beaumont High School.

In October of 1975 she gave birth to her first-born daughter, April Denise Crawford. It was evident that Miranda was an intuitive, compassionate, and loving mother.

During her time in high school, Miranda had a magnificent courtship with her high school sweetheart Michael Huling. They were later married in 1977. Michael and Miranda welcomed their first son Michael Anthony Huling Jr in 1979. As a woman of quest and spontaneity, Miranda    relocated to the picturesque Los Angeles, California, where she expanded her family. She gave birth to two more children, Kimberly Marie Huling & Edward Benjamin Huling.

In 1985, Miranda and her family relocated back to her hometown of St. Louis, MO. During this transition, she continued to focus on raising her children and began her early career as a Facilities Manager and Professional Housekeeper in Clayton, MO.

Miranda was baptized and joined Solomon Temple Missionary Baptist Church in 1992. During her time under the Pastoral Leadership of Reverend Manson Sr., she was a faithful member and served diligently on many committees. She is remembered by the congregation for her cheerful giving, commitment to kingdom work and serving in the Women's Ministry.

In  1995, she began her career working as a House Manager and Personal Assistant to the prestigious Anheuser-Busch family, where she built lifelong relationships and supported the family up until the passing of her dear friend Judy Busch.

On June 2, 1997, Miranda married Roland Prince and they were happily married until his passing in September of 2013.

For 26 years Miranda tirelessly dedicated herself to her career in the Environmental Services Departments of Missouri Baptist & Barnes Jewish Hospital. She was awarded many accolades and accomplishments during her extensive career. She later retired in 2013. During her retirement Miranda looked forward to the adventures that awaited her in this next chapter of her life. She lived life to the fullest and took this time to enjoy the rewards of her hard work and extensive career. She learned to drive and purchased her first home. She was proud to host family events, often cooking large meals. Many people would agree that the food that she cooked was beyond delicious, especially her dressing and macaroni and cheese. She enjoyed supporting her family and continued to nurture the relationships of her friends, who became extended family. Miranda's benevolent heart was admirable and one of the best qualities anyone could experience. She allowed family members to stay with her, she helped with the purchase of school supplies annually for some of her great nieces and nephews, gave great advice, always answered the phone when anyone called and needed an empathic ear. She enjoyed patronizing many local restaurants and always made time to have a great meal at one of her favorite restaurants, Goody Goody, even if she had to dive the streets from Affton to St. Louis City.

She loved to shop, visit the casino, attend concerts and travel. She went on several cruises and was an incredibly caring and loving woman. She made sure that her outward appearance matched her inner beauty, ensuring her hair and nails were impeccable and well-manicured. She was kind, compassionate and ;made a positive impact and lasting impression on the many lives she touched. Her smile and laugh were infectious and one of a kind. She will be missed by many.

Miranda was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Petty in 1998, her mother Levora Petty in 2001, her daughter April in 2012 and her oldest sister Lenora (Peaches) in 2019. Miranda was surrounded by her children when she earned her wings on March 28, 2023. Miranda leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael (Chica Huling), Kimberly (Antonio) and Edward (Monae Borders) Huling; her grandchildren: Dominic, Elijah, Hiro, Kai, Edward Jr & Bennett. Her siblings Ronnie (Barbara and Brenda. Her nieces and nephews: Pandora, Wendy, Devon, LaTrena, Rhonda, Chris;, Heather & Victoria. Her best friends of several decades Nancy Hardin and Nathaniel Askew along with her special friend Vernon Thomas. She also leaves and extensive host of great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
