Miriam Newell Biskin

Still have my 1970 yearbook with your meaningful message to me. You're lessons are still remembered; that is how I came to this site and now send this belated thank you and prayers.

Although she was not my teacher I knew Miriam as a wonderful customer and friend of my cousin Gloria Olivet.
She entrusted me with the CHS Alumni and to this day I am still doing what she asked.

To Mrs. Biskin's Loving Family:
It is with a heavy heart I give my condolences to you all. I met Miss Newell in her first year of teaching in the Cohoes School District and soon after she married the love of her life. She continued to teach me in high school and she was an amazing teacher. We continued to meet her at times in the area after graduation. She and Irving were a great example to all. She will never be forgotten and will be in our hearts forever. Love to you all.

She was a wonderful person and teacher, I loved going to her English lit class. She was the only teacher I actually liked. Her family reflects the person She was.

Miriam. She was such a huge part of my life, bringing love, humor, intelligence, thoughtfulness, and generosity to all of us privileged to know her. Miriam spread a special joy everywhere she went. What a great lady. Rest In Peace my friend.

Mrs. Biskin was my English teacher at CHS and she was such an incredible teacher with a dynamic personality. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

Sorry to Miriam's entire family for the loss of your most cherished member of your family. She was such a lovely woman and holds a special place in my heart. She was such a great storyteller and I loved hearing her tell them about her life and family.
