Mimi was the support that my mother needed when I was born in Neah Bay. Years later she was instrumental in re-connecting me with my heritage by introducing me to Ed and Thelma Claplanhoo. Subsequently I became part of the health care of the Makahs in the same way that my dad was part of their care in a different era. Mimi Curtis was probably the BEST great grandma in the world! I was very sad to see her go, but I know we will be together some day in heaven. What I loved about her the most is .....everything!!!

Mrs. Curtis was a truly wonderful person, and I feel blessed to have known her in her later years. May God grant comfort to her family. She will be missed.
