Miriam M. Eichlin, 91, of Pen Argyl, PA passed away Sunday, March 6th, at Chandler Estates, Pen Argyl, PA.


Miriam was born in North Bangor, PA on August 27, 1930, a daughter of the late Harold and Edith (Labar) Lohman.


She was the wife of the late Edward T. Eichlin who passed away in 2012. Miriam was employed as a sewing machine operator at various blouse mills in the Slate Belt area until retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Bangor Women's Club and UNITE the garment workers union.


Miriam was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA, where she belonged to the Quilting Group.


Miriam is survived by a daughter, Jean Janosa, a son, Larry Eichlin, husband of Pat, two sisters, Ruth Hinton and Joyce Minisi, 4 grandchildren; Christopher Janosa, husband of Michelle, Amber Uhler, wife of Christian, Kelsey McGoldrick, wife of Tom, and Hayley Rapp, wife of Maurice. 3 great-grandchildren Thomas, Victoria, and Bella, 2 step-great-grandsons, Josh and Nick, and a great-great-grandson Grayson. She was predeceased by two sisters Doris Shoemaker and Charlotte Hower.


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 11th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, March 11th at the church. Burial will be held at East Bangor Cemetery, East Bangor, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA 18013.

Sorry for your loss, your mother was a lovely lady and I enjoyed her company at club meetings and playing cards, we shall all miss her.
