I probably was the only one present at the funeral (not including her sister and first cousins who could only attend remotely), who spent her entire childhood with Mimi. Our families shared a very small duplex in Pasadena from first grade through 9th. When her family moved from Pasadena to Los Angeles, Mimi and I lost each other.
