Not sure what to say?

I just learned of her passing on.... To her family, I send my sympathy and a sweet memory of Miriam Kling when she was a teenager...We were at Camp Willoughby, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, summer of 1965 or so.... A typical camp day of meals in the mess hall, creative classes, group games and evening sing-alongs. They were always more fun when Miriam was there. Sometimes she arrived late, usually wearing a different outfit than what you saw her in a couple hours ago.... By the end of each day, she...

Miriam's name popped up again this morning - reminding me of happy challenging times in her classes. In sorting through class notes, I came across notifications of a series I missed. I am signing myself up here at home - just the boost I need during this brittle winter cold. With warm thoughts for Miriam and her family. Sincerely, Joanne Wood.

I always looked for Miriam's photo in the Aquinas mailing list of classes being offered and hurried to sign up. I am an intermittent poet seeming to need an occasional boost to get me on a poetic roll. Her positive approach to her students and her obvious interest in us and what we had to say, and her encouragement were lifelines. She often picked her lesson topics to spark interest - such as studying various forms of poetry, calling on our memories, or maybe paring up with the ways of a...

Miriam was one of the best professors that I ever had the privilege of learning from. I took several classes from her at Aquinas. I still have a sculpture in my front lawn that we made in a poetry / art collaboration class that I took from her and Ron. She always kept things positive and helped us understand poetry and art and taught us to become better artists ourselves. She had a great welcoming smile. She is missed. My condolences to her family and friends. Brian Bruno Former Student

Miriam. It´s a biblical name, a beautiful name for the most gracious person I have ever met. Always kind, always ready with just the right words and still delightfully witty! I´ll miss her so much.

I have such fond memories of visiting with you, Ron, and Miriam as we worked together to teach your children. Ben and Madeline reflected your gifts of the arts in their own expressions of a growing understanding of God's world and that will continue. Your family has opened our eyes to a fresh sense of our humanness and our relationship to our Creator. Prayers for comfort for all who held Miriam dear.

Sincwere condolences to Miriam's family. I met Miriam at Aquinas College. She taught a class in Poetry and Creative writing for Senior Citizens. My sister-inlaw and I took every class we could that she taught. She was such an positive person and so enjoyable to to be with. enjoyed her classes so much.
