Miriam Slifkin was a beloved friend of my mother, Margaret Gulick, who shared many of the same interests, but unfortunately died in 1979 of breast cancer. My condolences to Miriam’s family. Hers was a life well lived. Though I last saw Miriam decades ago, I remember her well.
