Not sure what to say?

You was always nice to me it's been 21 years since you been gone I been trying to contact your mom and dad since I've been home love you R I P

Even today, I sit here and have a solemn moment for Misty. Watching her grow up in elementary, middle and high school, I presumed her to become the leader, and agent of THE paradigm shift I knew she would be. And, I marveled at how you poured into her, adored her, supported her. Your genuine care and love for her was always apparent and I had confidence in the impact of that care and love. When I left Fayetteville and settled here in Atlanta, although I lost direct contact, Valerie and the...

I still think about Misty many, MANY times a year. She'd be about 37 years old right now. I often wonder what life would be like with her in it. It's a shame to not have one of our childhood friends here with us right now, and of all people...Misty didn't deserve what happened to her.

We still miss you, beautiful girl. Rest in peace.

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Carter,

I was in many of Misty's classes in high school. We also cheered at Terry Sanford for years and were great friends. Her death is a loss to all of us. She was a wonderfully kind, funny, and smart women who challenged us all to be better people. My prayers and thoughts are with both of you during this tough time.

She will be remembered for her extraordinary personality, compassion for others, and beaming smile. She...

TO THE CARTER FAMILY:

I am truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I attended Spelman College with Misty and she was in most of my psychology classes. Misty definitely was a Beacon Of Light. She lit every room she entered with her bright smile and southern accent. She surely will be missed but I am sure that she is smiling down upon you from Heaven. Again, you are in my prayers. God Bless!
