Not sure what to say?

I went to Kemblesville Elementary with his son Chris around 1976 / 77 and we bought some of Mitch's pottery at an event at Brandywine Battlefield from what I remember. My parents still have the pottery. I remember that they lived in an old school house with a bell in it at the time and they found a chalk board behind some wallpaper. Our class even visited his pottery studio. He was a great guy andI admire his work.

I own some of his ceramic pieces, purchased at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Love the surface textures and shapes of his work. Condolences to his family.

We at the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts had the pleasure of hosting Mitch with two workshops. He left three pieces of his work which we use to demonstrate his technique to other printmakers and artists working in clay. His unique approach of blending the print with the clay stands as an inspiration to artists. It was an honor and privilege to have worked with Mitch and known his wife Bea as well.
Please accept our deepest condolences

Mitchs art work reflects a rich and vibrant and eternal soul. It took me to some amazing places as I got to wander and wonder through his work shop.

For Mitch to win the heart of my sister - he had to be an exceptional man. I only got to meet Mitch and interact with him a few times so I didnt get to know him real well.

But I know he treated my sister right and greatly enriched her life. I also know from my interactions with his children and from reflections of my own...
