Not sure what to say?

When I moved to Portland in 2000 I worked at the Mallory Hotel Dining room restaurant side. Mitchell always requested me because his standards were high in regards to good service. He was a guy you´d love to pick his brain. I´m saddened by the realization of his passing. He was truly a good man.

I am sorry I missed the funeral. I loved seeing Mitch at the Mac.I have alot of very good memories from when I was young. He was always so well dressed and always very nice to myself and my mother. He always called her Dimpy which only those her knew her well remembered. She loved it. I will always have fond memories of Mitch.

Uncle Mitchell was my godfather. My fondest memory came from him every year on my birthday. There was not one year that he missed calling and would always send me such special birthday wishes. He was a dear and very thoughtful man and I am honored to have him as my godfather.

I met Mitchell first in 1960, when he was the most dapper dancer and roving bachelor. He then became a client and a friend. His inquisitiveness into issues at hand could sometimes drive you to despair. I will miss him for many reasons.

Mitchell was my father in law and I will miss him very much. He always made me laugh and ordered a meal like no one else.

"Mr. Drake" was an icon and a beloved fixture at the MAC. He will be missed by staff and members alike.
