Not sure what to say?

I went to grade school, junior high and high school with Mitch in Salina, Kan. I remember going to his home for a birthday party in grade school where we cooked individual pizzas and spent the night. He played sandlot football at the grade school with us a lot, too. He nearly always had a friendly smile on his face and was a great and unselfish guy. The world has lost a precious soul, but the heavens have gained a great one. We'll miss you Mitch until we meet again.

Charlene, my heart goes out to you and your family. May God keep each of you close at this very sad time.
Each of you are in our prayers.

Mitch was my very good friend since 1992 when we met at graduate school in Austin. He had the kindest, most gentle heart and warm sense of humor. This world has lost one of the genuine good guys, and it's a much less happy place for his absence. I will never forget him and our friendship. I can only be thankful that I knew him at all.

Dear Marilu,

All of us are saddened by the news of Mitch we received this morning in our morning meeting. You two are the most brave couple we have met ever. Marilu, all people should have a person as selfless as you are watching over them as you watched over Mitch. We know your beautiful daughter, Elena Fe, has a legacy of two brilliant parents and the wealth of a large extended family and friends. God's peace to you all.

Love,

Alice Illian,RN;...

God be your strength and comforter at this time of your loss and in the days and months ahead. Our prayers continue for you all.

I don't know Mitch and Marilu personally but I am kin to Marilu through the Hastings family. My husband, Bill, and I want to extend our sincere sympathy to Marilu, the baby and family.

To Marilu and family: our thoughts for you in the loss of Mitch and our joy for your new daughter.
