Not sure what to say?

Bishop Menlove was pivotal in a difficult decision making time for Warner and I. He encouraged a family counsel as we were under stress. Because of him we had the courage to move north, closer to our children, and get different employment. He was instrumental in counseling two of our daughters in the ward, plus performed the wedding for my brother. The impact of his counsel and guidance has blessed our family on an eternal basis. We love him and his family deeply.

Mitch was Elder Menlove to me. He was my last district leader before I returned home from my mission. When I told him I needed a lot of help in my area one district meeting, he called all of his appointments and moved them and he and his companion dropped everything to come and help my companion and I with the work we needed done. It was amazing and I still look back fondly on the comraderie we all had in that district. I'm sorry to hear about his passing he was an amazing person.

Elizabeth, It has been a very long time since we have been in touch but I was sorry to hear about your loss. You and your children are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened when I heard of Mitch's passing other day. I have never actually met Mitch in person but I knew his amazing family and loved them all. He was a great missionary and his family missed him dearly while he served. My heart goes out to all of the Menlove family at this time. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you the loved ones he left behind.

I just barely heard the news of Mitch's passing. What a tragic loss. My memories of Mitch in high school are of the nicest guy around - happy and funny and kind. His wife, children and family will be in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Elizabeth (AKA - Sister Ickes),

Wow. It has been too long since we last had contact with each other. Life's road is full of so many twist and turns. You have definitely had your share of ups and downs.

In the short two weeks that we served together in Gainesville, I feel that I came to know you (and Mitch) rather quickly. I only had the chance to meet Mitch twice. One of those times was when you two traveled back to the mission field and stopped by ...

While raising their family, the Menloves lived around the corner from us.
Our children grew up together in the same ward. Our ward was like a big family and still is.

Mitch was an adorable baby and child.
He had the greatest grin and smile. He lit up a room!

Our family is deeply saddened at the Menlove's loss.

Enclosed is a photo from a ward Father's and Son's Campout that was in our photos. We hope that Mitch's children and wife will enjoy...
