Our beloved son, Mitchell John Moore, died unexpectedly at our home in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin on Friday, March 3, 2023.
He was born December 15, 2016 to Amy (Wood) Moore and John Moore, and given his name because by all definitions, he was our gift from God. He was the adored brother of Emmerson, Elin and Carter.
Mitchell was a kindergartner at Richards Elementary School. He loved playing with his siblings, being in nature no matter the temperature, creating beautiful works of art, bombing down ski hills, climbing all things, and riding his bike. Mitchell loved all animals but nothing could compare to his fondness for chickens. Most of all he loved Christmas, choosing to celebrate it year round and dreaming of one day becoming Santa. His happy place was in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, more specifically, Rhinelander. There, he enjoyed swimming, hiking, sledding, and building forts, but he loved it most because he was with our family.
He will be deeply missed for his enormous heart, full body hugs, silly jokes, timid smile, and affectionate personality. His time was too short but his love was so big.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Mitchell is survived by his grandparents, Nancy and Roger Bengtson, and Sarah Jane and Robert Moore; his aunts and uncles Samantha and Daniel Gabor, Mason and Julie Wood, Christine Thornburg and David Kenzer, and Mary Ellen Moore and Neal Rich; and cousins Aiden, Ethan and Rowan Gabor, Tyler Wood, Laura, Jake, Sarah and Katherine Thornburg and Marley, Isla and Reave Rich.
A visitation will be held on March 17, 2023 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 East Capitol Drive, Shorewood, WI 53211.
A celebration of Mitchell's life will be held on March 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 6031 West Chapel Hill Road, Mequon, WI 53097. The service will be live streamed. To view the link stream, please click on this link: https://www.youtube.com/user/crossroadsmequon

There are no words to express how we feel at a time like this. We hope that the whole family receives some comfort from knowing that people care and are praying for them, including people they don't know.
