Memorial Services for Mitchell R. Redfield will be conducted from the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Paul Bauman and Reverend Rick Smith, officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Mitchell Ray Redfield, 30 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Holdrege. Mitch was born July 10, 1978 at Imperial, Nebraska to Keith and Deborah (Havel) Redfield. While he was in Junior High, Mitch moved to Bertrand, Nebraska. He completed his education at Bertrand, graduating from Bertrand High School with the class of 1997. Mitch lettered in football and wrestling and had the honor to reach the State level in wrestling. Following his education, Mitch was employed at Allmand Brothers in Holdrege. On May 5, 2002 he was united in marriage to Meagan Winkler. To this union one son, Theron Axel Redfield was born on August 20, 2003. The family made their home in Hays, Kansas until returning to Holdrege. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Meagan and son, Theron both of Holdrege; mother, Deb Witt and her husband, Clinton of Bertrand; father, Keith Redfield of Palisade; two brothers: Timothy Redfield and his wife, Melanie of Kansas and Chancelor Redfield of Cambridge, Nebraska; grandparents: Dwaune and DeVeta Redfield of Palisade, Virginia Claremont of Hays, Kansas, Raymond Havel of Bartley, Nebraska, Richard and Marilyn Winker of Loomis and Roy and Allaine Long of Amherst, Nebraska; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Peggy Winkler of Loomis, Nebraska; brother-in-law, Justin Winkler of Loomis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, April Redfield. There will be no visitation, the family is honoring Mitch’s wish for cremation.
