The players and staff San Jose Earthquakes of the NASL (1974-1984)embraced themselves into the south bay community unlike any other sports franchise the bay area has ever seen. Gabbo Gavric played a tremendous role in these efforts to introduce the sport of soccer to so many! It was my absolute pleasure and honor to know Gabbo for over 30 years. Rest in Peace #5... You were a hell of a man!

I know Gabbo from when he would buy his Thanksgiving dinner from us at Cosentino's each year. He was such a nice man and so funny, not to mention good looking too! My condolences to his sons. I will miss your dad.
