"Even while we're asking, God's power and love can bless; To praying souls He often grants, More than they can express."
To the Family of Mona:
Remember her kindness, her goodness and the love she had for her family and friends. You have my deepest sympathy.

Mona was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and of the Hope Sunday School Class. She was faithful in attendance when I'm sure she didn't feel well. Her presence brightened the room. She will surely be missed.

Mona and I worked in the Dept of Education for many years, but we only got to really know each other about 3-4 years ago when we worked in the same office. I enjoyed her stories about her family and seeing the newest pictures of the grandbabies. Pictures and talking about the girls could make her "light up." Mona will be missed.

I knew Mona through her work at the State Department of Education and truly respected all she was doing for the young people of Louisiana. She was a beautiful lady with a great spirit and caring soul. The world needs more like Mona Henry Durham.
You are in my heart and prayers.

Mona was a dear, dear friend for 30 years. I first met her in 1974, and liked her right away. She was truly a kindred spirit. Our daughters were the same age and became fast friends, as well. Mona, we will miss you. We will always remember your wonderful spirit.

Bubba and Frances, I am sorry I was unable to attend the memorial service today. Mona was a lovely person in every sense of that word. Her genuine love and concern for the youth of this state was an inspiration to all of us. Her gracious and elegant manner were admired by all with whom she worked. We are all better for having known and worked with her; she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
