Not sure what to say?

I am the great-niece of Mona and Jay. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has signed this guest book. It was so nice reading the memories that everyone has of them. I miss them so much but I'll never forget all they taught me and the memories I have.

We were saddened to hear of Mona's passing. Both Mona and Jay were wonderful people, kind and caring. We were lucky to have bought our dock space right next to theirs 25 years ago. We enjoyed our summer evening talks down at the dock . It will not be the same without them; they will be missed dearly.

My deepest sympathy to Mona's Family and friend Cecelia. I was not able to make the visitation but want you to know I was thinking of you. Mona was a very interesting and kind person. She will be missed.

My name is Donna Pogliano and my deceased ex-husband Jim and I were long-time friends of Jay and Mona and frequent visitors to the camp in Marquette and to the fish dock.

We spent many nights in downtown Milwaukee at our favorite bar, which Mona called "the tank" and visited with them every Friday night for many years while Jay and Mona were both working in Milwaukee, first at their apartment on East Wells, sometimes at our house in Bay View, and eventually at their house in...

My memories of both Mona and Jay range from being a very small child going to the "new" McDonalds restaurant in Marquette, in their Land Rover. Which to this day I want to own a Land Rover because of that ride. Jay and Mona thought it the most ridiculous way to get and eat food.
I remember "Pansy" the beagle, I can even remember what her bark sounded like. I remember late nights at the camp, saunas and Jay telling Warren and I stories about the swamp monster and lighting a cotton piece of...

My name is Mike Smith, son of the late Frank and Mary Smith, longtime dear friends on Mona and Jay. As long as I can remember Mona and Jay have been part of Marquette life in the summer. They were good people and lead an interesting life. Mona and Jay, always one entity, will be missed by all that knew them.

Sincerely,
Mike, Becky and Warren Smith

I will greatly miss Mona. She and Jay were such wonderful friends. Summers won't be the same in Marquette without them.
