Monica Beatrice Foster

Monica Beatrice Foster, 73, of Justin, gained her angel wings on the morning of December 22, 2021, in Denton, Texas, following her battle with renal failure.  Born in Princeton, Texas, on November 19, 1948, Monica was the daughter of Helen Beatrice (Campbell) and Ray Junior Williams. 

Before retiring, Monica worked at Denton Community Hospital in registration.  She enjoyed life to the fullest, and her favorite past-times were sewing, Bingo, and heading North to WinStar.  She loved dancing and listening to Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. 

She was mom to four amazing children, whom she loved with all her heart.  Monica was the type of mom who loved and treated the kiddos who came home with her children as her own. She was known as “mom” to most of them as well.  She enjoyed helping others and was a loyal friend.  She shared a friendship that spanned 43 years with Carolyn Finch, 25 years with Diana McCraw, and many others she shared deep friendships with.  In addition, Monica became “Meemaw” to seven perfect grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were even more perfect than the grands.  They were her life, and each one her pride and joy.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents and beloved son, John Jay Ferrell.  Remaining to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Shannon Parker (David) of Denton, Edee Sanford (Wayne) of Justin, Jessyca Ferrell of Ponder, one sister, Phyllis Lewis of Princeton.  Seven grandchildren, Cassandra Wisdom (deceased), Leah Spencer, Gordon Drennon (Candi), Taylor Arrington (Katie), Dilan Stallings (Cody), Jordyn Beale, and A. J. Zellers; and three great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Rylic, and Raydon, also survive her.
