Monica Lorraine Thomas Maxim, 30, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2009, in the Vinton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

We are still in shock, as I'm sure you are, and are so deeply sorry. Monica left us with some wonderful memories which I will enjoy sharing with my children. Hopefully we won't have long to wait until we can hear her laugh again!

It goes without saying how saddened I was to hear that Monica had fallen asleep in death. She was my sister's best friend as well as a good friend to me.
