Monica Michalik

Monica (my grandmother) is a noticeably connective being. This quote from my brother Patrick, is true, "She was very much a thoughtful person that way, delicate in how she filtered information and how she chose her words."

I think of Grandma at least a few times a week, even more often as Easter approaches. If it isn't a particular memory that comes to mind, it's her sense of humor, her love of reading, her dedicated cooking, or her gentle smile. I think about how she spoke directly to her pets, both domestic and feral. She was very much a thoughtful person that way, delicate in how she filtered information and how she chose her words.
