The Ortlieb family will always remember Aunt Monica. Our condolences to all the Nelsons, most especially Uncle Tony.

Aunt Monica always seemed so loving and fond of family life. Most of my memories of her are when I was a kid and family gatherings on Holly Hill. Aunt Monica was energetic and fun loving, yet also very centered and grounded. She made it seem like being an adult was fun and a good thing, as opposed to an old thing. Every well lived life of course has its challenges, but Aunt Monica met them all with grace and a quiet inner strength. You will be missed. -Rob Hahn

This woman, Ma Mère, helped raise me. Her life was rich with love and adventure. She was a loving mother of four, grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight, a caring nurse and a model. I will always remember to say a prayer to St. Anthony when something is lost and I am still superstitious of letting people pass me on stairs, but most of all I will never forget to tell people how much I love them, as she did for me. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
