Thanks to son Dan, we loved living and visiting our lovely, smiling, whistling, neighbor through her 99th birthday! She could light up anyone's spirits just by her friendly smile. One great memory is when my husband and I were trying to go to a Christmas party at his daughters on the other side of town, but we had a big snowstorm that made it difficult to get up our 37th Ave. One chain fell off our car and was buried somewhere in snow.
