Monica, I miss you! You had talked about having a birthday party and I was so sure I'd see you this year for that celebration. You were such an open soul, beautiful cultrural enthusiast and friend. What can I say? You are forever my Cuba roommate! Forever a partner in ethic food, music and lover of life!

I was stunned and extremely saddened to hear of Monica's passing. A longtime friend since childhood on 33rd Place. I will miss her bright spirit and the long chats when catching up on things. She is definitely among heaven's angels and her poetic spirit will live on. May God bless the Pree family and keep you in His comforting arms. Much love to you all.
