Not sure what to say?

Bless Twila and the entire Bryan family for the love all of them give so freely to others. Monk was the leader of the pack and we have cherished his friendship, wisdom, leadership, and caring for years and years, to say nothing of the delight and laughter he brought into our lives. "Well done thou good and faithful servant!"

Our family loved Monk. One time he was a driver for a youth float trip. He said he needed a nap. He pulled over on the side of the road and promptly fell asleep. As teenagers, we were mesmerized, confused, and amused that he could fall asleep so quickly. He woke up several minutes later, refreshed and ever lovable and we made our way to our destination. Dr. Bryan was a wonderful part of my childhood memories at Missouri United Methodist Church.

Our prayer is for God's peace to comfort you and His love to surround you. The entire family is in our prayers, especially Twila and Bob Gass.

What a joy it was to be a member of his congregation in Columbia, to be fed by him Sunday after Sunday with thoughtful and challenging sermons.

Monk was such a part of our life as our children were growing up in the Missouri United Methodist Church. I believe this is the last time we saw him in Columbia, when he sat with Beetle Bailey.. Father's Day, June 17, 2007. Our deepest sympathy to the family, and especially Jim and Caryl.

Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you folks at this time.

My prayers are with the Monk Bryan family.

Monk Bryan was the minister at Missouri Methodist Church in Columbia, MO when my family and I first moved here. I have very fond memories of him and wish to extend my deepest sympathy to his entire family, especially Jim and Caryl Bryan. Beverly Huckaba, Columbia, MO

Monk was such a warm and down-to-earth man in spite of all his many accomplishments. It was my privilege to know him and Gid, and my parents were friends from their youth in Fort Worth. Now he is with his Heavenly Father and many friends and relatives. Marilyn Tinkle
