Monreda Lee Webb of Etowah, TN passed away peacefully at her home Monday, July 7, 2025.


She was born August 25th 1934 to the late Amos H. Lee and Edith Kinser Lee of Madisonville. She was a graduate of Madisonville High School where she played basketball. She later attended Carson Newman and Tennessee Wesleyan. She was married to the late Yale Webb of Etowah and together they owned and operated Johnson's Department Store in Etowah for many years. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Etowah. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Yale Webb; sisters, Mary Sue McDonald, and Mildred Barr; brothers, Ray Lee, Quentin Lee and Edgar Lee; sister-in-law, Leatrice Isbill Fox; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Webb and Odean Webb.


She is survived by her son, Don Webb (Renee) of Delano, TN; daughter, Debbie Henderson (David) of Cleveland, TN; granddaughter, Candace Housley (Halen) of Delano, TN; grandsons, Stephen Henderson of Knoxville, TN and Michael Henderson (Kacie) of Huntsville AL; great-grandchildren, Camille Housley, Max Housley and Samuel Henderson; sisters-in-law, Joyce Kilpatrick, Sharon Offutt, and Mable Webb; and special friend, Doug Lee.


Special thanks to her kind caregivers, Shannon Nichols, Pam Perry, Susan Breen, Paige Brock and Linda McInturff. Special thanks also to Stephanie and Shalom and the wonderful staff at Hospice of Chattanooga.


Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday July 10th at First Baptist Church of Etowah with the Reverend John E. Pennington Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens on Friday, July 11th for the 11:00 a.m. committal service

So sorry to hear of Monreda passing. I loved her as she was always a special link to Mama Kinsers side of our family. We are out of town and we’trunable to attend the services. Prayers for family for peace and comfort.

I remember Monreda and Yale from my childhood days attending Etowah First Baptist Church and how faithful they were to our church and the community. Your family will be in our prayers as you mourn her loss and celebrate her life. God Bless!
