Not sure what to say?

Today 11, October 2021I learned of Mr. Mizell's passing.. I was privileged to have met Mr. Mizell while fly fishing in Alabama around 1994 (there is a wonderful story about that). He was with a gentleman, an associate or family member I believe. He was a wonderful person! He said to me many things that day. He gave me a business card as well to remain in contact. Which I did from time to time. (I tried to contact him a few times after I left the fire department in Atlanta just to ask if he...

I have fond memories of Monroe. We met as avid fly fishers on a spring creek in Pennsylvania chasing rainbow trout; we both fished fine bamboo fly rods; and later when I was at Georgetown Law Center, I law clerked for him in 1978. I now live in Anchorage, Alaska, do legal work for fisheries conservation groups and tribes here, guided in the Bristol Bay watershed for years, and last ran into Monroe at an airstrip in Iliamna, Alaska. We were both headed on fishing trips to chase rainbow trout....

Sad news about Monroe. I was classmate of Monroe's at Coolidge High School. Monroe and I got to know each other because we were youngest in our class each having skipped a year of school -- he was four days younger. He was fun to be with and a great guy.

I am so sorry to hear of Monroe's passing. He always made me laugh and was so kind and fun to be around. May his memory be a blessing.

My deepest sympathies and prayers from my family to yours.

Always a friend and good advisor. We shared a lot of stories, laughs and sushi. My heart is much saddened by his passing. He was quite the asset to his family, community and friends and I will miss him dearly.

We am sorry for your loss. May his memory be a blessing. Regards, Jessi Baker and Charlie Selby
