Monte Benzel

I was deeply saddened to hear of Monte's passing. I was a close friend of Monte, and share hundreds of memories from growing up in Ritzville. Monte was a favorite friend, for a few of us, in the class of 74. Monte's zest for life was unsurpassed in those days, his sense of humor and friendship was very special. In his latter years even hindered with muscular dystrophy, Monte's spirit was still strong. I already miss the calls from Monte, giving me updates on how the wheat was doing, and...

I'm one of many of Mont's friends from Lind. I have many memories of Mont, mostly of good times we had during the 70's. Mont had a ton of friends and will always be remembered for his sense of humor and geniune kindness. I am sorry to have missed Mont's memorial due to a death in my wife's family.
