Not sure what to say?

Today is Friday Oct. 11th, 2024, and I woke up thinking about Mr.Crockett. I grew up in Columbus in FCCS. My father was from West Virginia too, just like Mr.Monte as I called him. I first met Mr.Crockett after my father took me down to the Detention Center, I believe on 50 E Mound St. I thought it was a horrible place, Mr.Bright was in charge of the boys. I worked in the Kitchen and was Mr.Monte's gym helper on the many visits I came through as an incorrigible child. My young life was...

Paw Paw it´s been 11 years since you´ve been in a better place. I still think about the times when you would put your favorite record on the record player and watch me dance in the basement. I remember asking you to dance with me and you would get up and dance and we would laugh and have so much fun. I miss you so much and constantly think about you. Please continue to watch over me and the family. I love you!

11 years later and it still hurts. Getting this reminder today confirms that you are still watching over us. We love you and miss you immensely Pops

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

God was truly busy touching souls in Talcott, West Virginia, which is where the Mann family first knew the Crockett's. So glad to read all of the beautiful comments about Monte and to know that he followed the path that was embedded in us all. God surely is saying "well done my good and faithful servant God Bless Brenda and Crockett family. Elinor "Mann" Agee "Ladybug"

To the Crockett family,
I share your loss as "Monte" has been a true, kind and thoughtful friend to me since our school days.
The entire Crockett family will forever have a special place in my heart and my prayers will be with you.
"Monte", I know you are resting in peace in the love of God as you lived a good, kind, generous, glorious and prayerful life.
You will live on in my memories of the wonderful person which I know you to have been.
God be with you "Miss"...

Jared and family, I am so sorry to hear of your tremendous loss. I have known your dad since 1973 when I came to work at FCCS. Indeed he was giant of a man in providing the youth at Franklin Village structure, direction and hope for their future. Monte was like a father figure to many boys who had no father in their lives. His impact will live on forever in the many lives he touched.

"Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot healed."

I was saddened to hear of Mr.Crockett's passing. I very much enjoyed working with him at Juvenile Court. May God bless the family.
