Not sure what to say?

To whoever may read this on the 10th anniversary of Monte's passing. In elementary school, at Nibley Park, Monte and I were the best of friends. We were two of the Three Musketeers! As there were no clubs for girls at the time, I went to the boys club with him on many occasions. He was never hesitant to take me in there with him. Never seemed afraid of being teased for hanging out with a girl. I always appreciated that. I moved to Highland in 7th grade but Monte and I kept writing to one...

It's hard to believe it's been 9 years since I finally found you after so many years of having lost contact, only to realize that what I was seeing was your obituary. In that moment, my heart broke. I wish we could have talked about the old days, and laughed. You were my BEST friend, and I still miss you. Good bless your family, especially your son, who I never got to meet.

If anyone from the family would be willing to reach out and contact me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Monte and I were best friends in elementary school and remained in contact until after high school. We lost track when he joined the military. I still have patches from the various hockey tournaments that he collected and gave to me. I would very much like to know about his life and what eventually took it.
All the best...

It's funny that this reminder of Monte should pop up, as I was just talking about him to my daughter.

I still think about him and wish with all my heart that we wouldn't have lost touch. If a family member reads this, please reach out to me and let me know how he died. The obituary mentioned nothing of his passing and I would really like to know if he suffered or passed peacefully. I will always love him dearly.

My deepest most sincere condolences.
During 5th and 6th grade Monte was one of my BEST friends. When he joined the military we lost touch. Over the last few years I've tried finding him. I was beyond shocked when last night I finally did, through this obituary.
He was the best and kindest of friends. He Jane Hansen and I were known as the 3 Muskateers because if we were on any team together no one could win against us. I still have hockey patches he would send me from the different...

Let you bask in the warmth and glory of the Lord. To my family: you are always in my thoughts and prayers. May you all find peace and comfort.

Uncle Monte was awesomeness! He always made me (his Baby doll) laugh and feel special. He used to write me beautiful letters and poems when he served and we always had a blast when he visited having sock fights and tons of silliness! You are for sure going to be missed and yet I'm so grateful you aren't suffering any longer! I love you Uncle Monte! Rest in peace!
