Monte McElroy Obituary
Our beloved Monte Ann McElroy, a long-time resident of the Torrance area, passed away peacefully Friday the 8th of July at her home in Wildomar, CA. Born in 1931 in Tribee, OK. Monte received a Bachelor of Science in History at Cal State Dominguez in 1972. Shortly after her degree she started working for the city of Torrance as an Environmental Officer until she retired in 1996. She also sat on the board of the Torrance Federal Credit Union until 2005. Monte loved being with friends and family, always the lovely hostess. She was known as one of the most generous people with both her time and financial contributions. She is survived by her loving husband James Whalen, her son Tim McElroy and daughter-in-law Sandy McElroy, and her two grandsons Michael and Kyle McElroy.
