Not sure what to say?

It´s funny how someone just pops into your head. I know this is quite a few years after his passing but I was sad to see that he died. I was a waitress at Davidsons Restaurant on SE Woodstock. He and Dale Mathew´s would come in for lunch, they were always so friendly and funny. I´m so sorry for your loss, even though it´s been a while it never goes away.

Ill never forget uncle Monte took and hid the blackberry cobbler i made for our family reunion because he loved it so much.R.I.P.

So sad to hear of his passing. Monte was an all-around awesome human being. I first met him at the Willamette athletic club in the 80s in the racquetball court. He was a kind and gracious human and racquetball player, but fiercely competitive. I lost touch with him until he started to sell his dealership. I had the opportunity to get a tour of the the dealership building with Neil, his son, and Monte. I remember in the 60s standing in the show room with my father, while Monte and my dad...

Dear Neil & family I feel bad that your father has passed on. I just came across the obituary looking for your phone number. Please know how sorry Iam, he was a very special man.

It's been a year since we lost this gentleman. I still half expect to see him at the NW Classic, which he supported for so many years. He never let us down and asked for little in return. I miss his smile and wit.

Your Brother, my Grandfather misses you tons. We love you@

Monte was the first guy to chase me down for driving too fast in front of his house. Earlier in the day I had spun out in front of his house and when I went by for the second time he was in his car and caught me at the light on Sandy. It was a short conversion that I took to heart. I grew up 6 blocks away.Five years latter I was fixing his First Rose Cup winning car. Latter on I would fix many cars for Monte and we became faithful friends. We both went to Grant HS. Monte's...

I have such fond memories of going to the race track as a little girl to watch Monte race! He and my dad, Nick Welsh, were lifelong friends from the Blue Lake days. After my dad passed away, Monte made a point of calling my mom to check on her every week and it meant so much to her. Our condolences to Sue and the entire family. He will be fondly remembered by the Welshes!
