Dear Family: Bucky was an institution in Athens! My first contact with Bucky was at Athens Federal playing for them. Bucky always made the youngsters feel important. Athens Federal made us all feel special by opening a savings account with $5 in it to start us on a life of savings. It helped me to start early. Therefore, I learned and was able to retire at 50. Bucky and his wife were so sweet to my little girls when their father took them down the street trick-or-treating soon after we moved to Athens in 1966.
He and Zippy Morocco were both so helpful to us in finding a home and a bank. All these years later his granddaughter and mine are good friends. My heart goes out to the whole family. RIP Bucky.

I met Mr. Bucky while working for "another" bank. I, too, have fond memories of him. He was a joy and we laughed often, but he sure knew what he wanted. He truly will be missed. My sympathy to the family...
