Morris rescued me from the bowels of despair in 1969 after the death of my younger brother. He took me into his Newton, MA, home and literally forced me to confront the grief. He was tough on me, but it was exactly what was needed. We remained friends over many, many years. Irascible but always compassionate. I will never forget him, and he will be sorely missed.
